I bought 2 sizes of boxes to pack the nian gao as gifts for relatives and friends. This is the small box. Forgot to paste the 'fu' sticker in the center of the box before I take pic.
This is the larger box. Somehow the colors look lighter in pic, the actual thing look brighter colors.

I want to learn to make some, I got the same fishie pan. I never thought of using it to make nian gao.
I was waiting for this post. The nian gao are amazing... look so lifelike. Well done!

tks for ur comments. I made hello kitty nian gao too, but nt so nice cos i din add colorings to it. I tried painted it with food colorings, but not nice so didnt post the pic. I'll try to make hello kitty nian gao again. if it's nice, i'll post here. :)
