Bento #64

Prepared peanut butter multigrain sandwich and a pear for hubby as breakfast this morning. I soaked the pear in salt water to prevent the pear from browning before packed it into a small container with pick. I used the cutters that I have to lightly pressed onto the bread to make a 'note' to him.

Sandwich for the Zoo & New Sandwich Maker

We are going to zoo this morning, so I decided to wake up early this morning to prepare snack for J, ZY and RY after the visit. I bought these sandwich maker from Kai Kai at Chinatown Point yesterday, wanted to make use of the new gadget for the children.

I used the Mickey and Minnie sandwich maker to have cheese sandwich for J and ZY and Mickey strawberry jam sandwich for RY.

I tried using the Tomica Car sandwich maker but the end result turns out not nice. I couldn't sprinkle milo nicely onto the sandwich to get the nice design as shown in the packaging.

Rice Balls Again

Today made use of the moulds to make rice balls again. This time I wet the moulds after each moulding, find the rice looks better than yesterday. This is part of today's dinner. J's dinner consist of rice (grounded rolled oats added), carrots, mushroom fishballs (in pic), fishcake tofu, cabbage and potato. I dumped the ingredients into a pot and boiled like soup with rolled oats added, tried this for the first time. Well received by J. I let J tried to use the rice mould to shape rice balls, he had fun with it.

Rice Balls

Made use of this new mould for yesterday's dinner. This is to make the rice into balls. J said the rice look like the balls he can throw.
This is his dinner, consists of mixed grain rice, minced meat with mushroom and broccoli.

His dinner consist of mixed grain rice which is under the minced meat and mushroom, broccoli and almond jelly. The watermelon is his after school snack for J to munch on the way home.
I packed the dinner in a Snoopy bento box with thermal bag, one of my favourite collection.

Bento #62

J wanted to go over to inlaw's after school to play with his cousins. He asked me to pack his dinner in a lunchbox for him. I prepared 2 lunchboxes for him. The kiwi is for him to snack on after school in the car. He now always want to have something after school, so I'll prepare fruits for him to snack on on the way home.

The dinner consist of edamame, pumpkin, chicken and rice. I added grinded rolled oats and mixed grains to the rice, so look brownish.

I packed the dinner in a 2-tier Thomas lunch box which was used in Bento #61
