Bento #16

This is today's snack, consists of potato sprinkle with nori flakes, edamame and strawberries.

Bento #15

Prepared this for J's lunch after his weekly class yesterday. The lunch consists of yellow mini tomato, Hello Kitty fishcake and steam egg with mushroom. Underneath the steam egg is plain rice with nori flakes as topping. The yellow tomato is very sweet, crunchy and juicy, I got it from cold storage. They labelled it as yellow mini plume tomato.

Bento #13

We found out that Kids' Kampong at Pasir Ris have Children's Day event today. We brought J and ZY to join in the fun. As the time is near their lunch time, I prepared lunch boxes for them.

J's lunch box consist of plain rice with eel, flora shape carrot, broccoli and strawberries. As ZY is a pasta lover I made animal pasta and hard boiled egg and grapes for her. I forgot to take pic of ZY's lunch.

Bento #12

Today's snack consist of grapes, potato sprinkle with parmesan cheese and sweet corn. I used monkey food pick for today's snack as this week's theme in class is 'Monkey'. I don't have enough time to try make a monkey for today's snack. Maybe will try wake up early the next time. I put in a set of fork and spoon, thinking that J might want to use if for his corns or potato.

Bento #11

I prepared this today for J as lunch after his weekly enrichment class. He likes eel so hubby bought this when he saw it in supermarket. We usually have when I made sushi as dinner. It's an easy to prepare meal for me as I only need to prepare the sushi rice and steam the eel.

I added pumpkin flakes which I got from Isetan some time ago to the uncooked rice and cooked together till the rice is ready. I steamed the eel and placed it on top of the cooked rice. I also prepared grapes in the side dishes containers. I used food picks to make the grapes look like balloons, rings, umbrellas and flowers. Niece also attracted to them, she arranged the food picks nicely on the table after she finished the grapes.

I used this mini bento set from Tiger as it can keep the rice warm with the thermal cup container. I like this bento set very much so decided to get a set. There're many designs for similar bento set in market. Hubby find this bento set is good and has an insulated carrier so decided to bring this bento set when we going to Hokkaido next month. We can use this to pack food for J, in case he gets hungry when we're on the road.
