My Lunch

I have this hamburger looking lunch box which I bought from a bulk purchase organised in a motherhood forum. It cute looking and not expensive so I decided to have it. I wanted to potion my today's lunch so to prevent myself from eating too much or not knowing how much I've eaten. So having the food in a lunch box is a good idea for me, able to potion my meal and also find eating more fun. Today's lunch consist of rice, minced meat cooked in rice wine and soy sauce, veg with cuttlefish.

Hello Kitty Lunch Box

I added a 2-tier lunch box to my collection (yes, buy lunch box again). I like the inside of the lunch box as I don't have such compartments lunch box and seldom see such design. The lunch box comes with a handle which is also used to secure the lunch box.
The bottom tier can be used on it's own as the lid is tight enough, usual lunch box have to secure with an elastic band.

The dividers are like small boxes on it's own, which I like it. So far I don't have such dividers.

Yogurt

I prepared this as snack for J's weekly class yesterday.
The container is from Thermos and it's for cold food only. I got it during a sales at Robinsons, about S$10, find it's a good buy. It comes with a spoon at the top compartment which has enough space for food like cheerios.

The snack consists of homemade yogurt and cheerios at the top compartment, to be added when just before eating so the cheerios will still be crunchy.

I made the yogurt from low fat milk and yogurt cultural powder. Yogurt is very easy to make, recipe can be found from the net. I read from an article that many commercial yogurt doesn't have as much nutrients as it claims, so I find it's better to make my own yogurt. I used cultural powder instead of yogurt which some recipes stated, as a friend told me before that using cultural powder has more active live culture, so it's better

Jap Curry

I made Japanese curry for today's dinner. As J has his weekly classes, we brought his dinner out. I used a mickey mouse 2-tier lunch box. The bottom tier consist of rice (white rice & brown rice), top tier consist of the curry without the gravy. I put in cabbage, carrot, cauliflower and fish for the curry.

Rush for Time

We were in a hurry to go out on Saturday evening so I don't have much time arranging the food nicely. I just cooked and dumped the food into the lunch box. This is a dinner for 2 children, ZY & J. The Hello Kitty lunch box is big enough for them. If I were to prepare food for them at the same time, I'll try to use 1 lunch box or a 2-tier lunch box that is big enough for them. I prepared pasta, scramble egg with milk and carrot. I used 1 egg shell amount of fresh milk and mix into the beaten egg. I packed some pasta sauce in the small Hello Kitty container, intend to let ZY try again. The children likes quail eggs, so i prepared some for them too. SH told me she heard that quail egg has more nutrients than normal egg.

M&M Lunch Box

I just bought this M&M lunch box from Cocoa Tree. I like the design of the lunch box, I remember seeing such lunch box design in old western movies. It comes with a bottle and strap. There are few small packets of M&M in the lunch box.

Bento for Zoo

J & ZY went zoo together today, so I prepared the same bento in the 2-tier lunchbox for them. I added fresh milk to the beaten egg, intended to make scramble egg, but added too little milk. I packed pasta sauce in the Hello Kitty containers. Also to make use of the chance to let ZY try the pasta sauce, but she not willing to try. Maybe we'll try again the next time.
